How to get from London to Ibiza

You can get from London to Ibiza by train, or find flights from Ibiza to London every single day of the week. We’ve done the research so you don’t have to, so let’s dive into the options.

Flights to Ibiza from London

For the fastest and most straightforward route, flying from London to Ibiza is the best option. With numerous daily flights from various London airports, you can easily find a schedule and price that fits your needs.

Flights to Ibiza from London:

  • EasyJet: With flights from Gatwick, Luton, and Stansted, EasyJet offers budget-friendly options, especially if you’re willing to travel early or late in the day.
  • Ryanair: Competitively priced, Ryanair offers 2 flights from Stansted a day during peak season.
  • British Airways: For those seeking a more premium experience, British Airways departs from Heathrow, Gatwick and London City Airport, every day of the week.

Flight duration from London to Ibiza is around 2 hours and 30 minutes - plenty of time to build up that excitement!

Travel from London to Ibiza by Train and Ferry

If you’re up for a bit of an adventure, consider taking a bit of a longer route and travelling to the island by train and ferry. This means that you get to start your holiday early by working your way through France and Spain, experiencing the beautiful landscapes and even enjoying a stop-off or two, before arriving on the White Isle.

Step 1: London to Paris

From London St. Pancras International, the Eurostar will take you to Paris Gare du Nord in around 2 and a half hours.

Step 2: Paris to Barcelona

The night train from Paris Gare d’Austerlitz to Barcelona Sants is one of the best options, departing at 8:32 PM and arriving at 8:24 AM. There are daytime train options available, but overnight might be more convenient, as you can get sleeper cabins so you wake up refreshed and ready for the final part of your journey.

Step 3: Barcelona to Ibiza

From Barcelona, you can hop on a ferry to Ibiza, with several companies, including Baleària and Trasmediterránea, operating daily. The journey lasts around 8-9 hours, but there are faster options available. Just keep reading!

Top Tip: One benefit of travelling by ferry is that you could drive the route and bring your car to the island, making it much easier to explore when you get here.

Alternative Ferry Routes to Ibiza

If you’re already in Spain or prefer travelling by sea, there are multiple ferry options from various Spanish ports to Ibiza.

From Dénia:

Baleària: High-speed ferries cover the route in 2 to 3.5 hours. This is a great option if you are looking to minimise travel time and get your feet in the sand quicker.

From Valencia:

Trasmed, Baleària, and GNV: With up to three daily crossings, the journey from Valencia to Ibiza takes between 5 and 7 hours. This route is convenient and offers frequent departures, making it easy to fit into your travel plans.

Tips for an Enjoyable Journey to Ibiza

  • Book Early: Whether flying or taking a ferry, booking early helps you secure the best prices and the best times.
  • Travel Off-Peak: Consider travelling during off-peak times to avoid crowds and enjoy a more relaxed journey.
  • Pack Smart: Ibiza's climate and 300 days of sunshine a year call for essentials like sunscreen, swimwear, and lightweight clothing. Don’t forget your party outfits if you plan to experience one of the island’s super clubs, especially as we have 3 of the top 10 clubs in the world
