Villa Amor is located on the hills near San Jose, the whitewashed luxury property has an artistic side. Its colourful character has flashes of Ikat print, blue-painted wooden beams and quirky sculptures (the living room’s focal point is a larger-than-life alabaster face).

However, the rustic-stone walls, terracotta roof tiles and clouds of pink blossoms herald it as a traditional finca at heart. Step outside and you’re surrounded by fragrant flowers and luxuriant trees; swim in the wood-decked pool or chill out under the terrace canopy and admire the views out to sea.

• Booking of massages, spa treatments, personal trainers, yoga instructors and outdoor activities
• Organisation of outdoor activities.
• In resort dedicated telephone concierge and booking assistance from 9 am to 7 pm daily
